What is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent Makeup, Micropigmentation, Dermalpigmentation, Cosmetic Tattooing and Permanent Cosmetics are all different names for the same process.
The art dates back to ancient Egypt; today, the benefits of this exciting procedure are being discovered by men and women around the world, and from all walks of life.
When properly applied by an experienced technician, permanent makeup looks so natural that no one will ever suspect you even had the procedure.
How Is it Done?
Permanent Makeup is performed by inserting pigments into the dermis (the very top layer of live skin). By carefully blending cosmetic colors and placing them into the dermis by the use of needles or other instruments designed to puncture the skin, a skilled Permanent Cosmetic Technician can create natural looking enhancements to almost any part of the body.
The pigment implantation is most commonly carried out by any one of three instruments: 1) A rotary tattoo device, 2) A manual tattoo pen, or 3) An electrically powered coil tattoo machines.
Whatever mode is used, the instruments must be sterile and disposable or autoclavable (steam sterilization).
